Day 6- Lake Day

This morning Will and a few helpers made the team pancakes.

Once we were full we headed to the lake Pleasant in Speculator, New York with some youth from C1. Cyndie's parent's own a house on Lake Pleasant and let us hang out there for the day

 We got to play on the slide, go tubing, water skiing, paddle boarding, and just talk with friends.

 

 

 

 

 

 

After we got to hang out for a while, we had a father and son get baptized together and some worship

 time.

 

 

 

 After baptisms we had a little bit more time on the water before is was time for Haystacks!

Tomorrow morning our North Carolina team will be heading home after an awesome week of serving with the Truax family.

Day 5- Last day of VBS

Today was the last day of VBS and the kids got to invite their family to see what they learned this week.

In the art center, we made a stain glass window made out of tissue paper.

In game center, they played on a wrecking ball bounce house.

In bible story, the kids learned about Jesus's resurrection and what they were thankful for

After VBS was over we invited the kids and their families to a party in the Truax's back yard. There were hot dogs and the wrecking ball bounce house.

 

Once the kids went home it was time to clean up which lead to a water fight!

this afternoon Mike and Ben sadly had to head home early while we played in a softball game with some guys from Vic Manor. 
 

 

 

 

 

After we got back some of us helped Will make a Mexican dinner.

Day 4-VBS

Day 4-VBS
We started our morning with singing and dancing

Before we split into centers we played a game of Simon says.







In the game center, the kids played duck duck goose, sack races, and parachute games.

In the art center, the kids made bats to remind us God gives us direction.

 In bible story, the kids had their feet washed and learned the story of when Peter walked on water and learned he could only walk on water if he trusted in Jesus.

After VBS we split into groups for random acts of kindness. We had a group go do yard work for a local house. Another group steamed tablecloths for C1. Also, a few of our members went to a bible study. 

As soon as we were done we headed over to the C1 building for the recovery dinner/pizza social. We got to hear one of our members from North Carolina share their story.

After the recovery dinner/pizza social,we headed over to Udderly Delicious,a local ice cream shop and had a few ice cream fights!
